Has anyone used the Moroso Spiral flow Mufflers? Opinions? They will be used on a V6 but have very limited space not only for lenght but also diameter. any other options you can suggest?

Chevy 3.4 V-6 Stalker with side pipes on each side. Spiral Flow mufflers would be attached directly to the headers with a turn out/down on exit end slanted down about 45 degrees to further quiet exhaust note.
I use one on the dwarf it works good but it's not wisper quiet but then again it only has a 4 inch sectoin of straight then a slash cut elbow. Dyno showed no hp drop. it it less noise but i didn't have a db meter at the time. 44
They do work fairly well. You can save some $$$ and use these: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Auger-Style-Muffler,1736.html I have used these baffles as secondary mufflers in tailpipes, helped knock down the noise level some. Didn't notice any power loss with them.

most performance mufflers are a perforated (or gasp, louvered) core pipes... they absorb sound without impacting too much on flow. The spiral shape has to affect flow some as the air passing through is sent into a spin.
That said, I wonder if one of those up close to the engine would actually help.. in a turbonator kinda way?
Out of curiosity, what do other sidepipe-equipped cars use? All those old Corvettes with sidepipes must use something right? And the early Vipers?
