As I'm saving a bit of cash to get a 700R4 for the thing. I thought this could be a project I can do in a parking lot. When driving around the floor pans get really darn hot, from what I understand when you v8 swap an s10 blazer the tight undercaraige can cause a lot of heat. I've seen it recommend to wrap the tailpipe and the bottom of the transmission pan in some sot of heat stuff. What should I get, is this an easy procedure of something I can do without a lift? Anything I shouldn't wrap..

perhaps doing the inside is easier? With something like a dynomat?
the engine bay is tight on those, perhaps adding some vents to the hood and/or front fenders would be helpful.
I bought a $10 sheet of HVAC sheet metal from Home Despot and made some heat shields with some tin snips and crappy pop rivets. All you need is some metal and an air gap to make a pretty effective heat shield.

Dynamat does nothing for heat intrusion.
At a bare minimum, the reflective surface must face the heat source.
"Peel and seal" from homedepot whatever. Its roof flashing, put it under the car expecially above the exhaust. And something more insulative on the inside, lots of brands out there but it gets expensive quick. It does make the car feel much nicer just from the sound deadening. I did this with a miata used basically peel and seal (was free for me but was for commercial aircraft windows when they were sandblasted) on the underside and inside and it helped a TON. I didnt have carpet at the time either i could literally get a first degree burn sitting inside my car before and was MUCH more tolerable afterwards. When i added the carpet and pleat insulation that went under it back it was actually nice in there, well as nice as it can get temp wise without ac
