Very, very slightly., at steady speeds of 35 to about 55 it will make a very slight shudder. It is a 5 speed, v8 car. It runs fine other wise. It's similar to when the dpfe faile in my ranger.

Any ideas?

Drop into neutral while the shudder is happening, if it doesn't change it's a wheel imbalance or driveshaft/axle imbalance (possibly due to a worn u-joint/cv-joint if present)

Edit: Wait to you mean some kind of vibration or engine hesitation?

It's engine related. And very very slight. Almost not noticeable, but not right either.

If its a 4.6 it is a plug wire going bad, change them over for spare one at a time until you find the bad one when the shudder goes away.

Aussie is on the right track. Those 3v's just LOVE to eat plug boots on the individual coils.

My vote is a coil assuming it has COP. I used to change at least one a year on my van.

Is it throwing a code? If so the ECU will tell you which coil is bad.

I have an OBDII tester that you can borrow. Find out what cylinder is misfiring and swap out the coil to another cylinder and replace the plug. If the misfire moves, replace the coil. After you are completed with the repair perform a intake flush with genuine BG products available from a dealer near your driveway ;)
