But he drove it right through the traps.
He made it through one of the most dangerous eras of drag racing in one of the most dangerous classes without a scratch. But ultimately it was being forced to slow down that did him in.
Goodbye, "Willy" Knox.
Never lift.
My sincere condolences Cooter.
Thanks for the memories about him you've already shared. Thank you for being here.
I wish I could do more than jab electronic pixels into the ether... to share in the joy of his life; and better support you in your own. Let me know if I can.
It sounds like he had some amazing experiences. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry to read this. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Sounds like he had a heck of a life and some amazing stories! I'm sorry for your loss.
His sounds like a life well-lived. So sorry for your loss.
Anyone who drove and survived Fuel Altereds is a man among men. That photo of him crossed up and smoking the tires is the coolest, ever.
There are no words beyond I'm sorry.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
My condolences. He sounds like an amazing man.

Sorry for your loss, he leaves behind a legacy and a family who will also remember him.
I'm sorry for your loss, but happy that you had such a badass for a dad
Wild cars in a wild time!
Looks like he got the full ride. If he was 25-ish years old in these 1966 magazines then he was 80-ish today.
I'm sorry he is gone but I am also glad he was here!
I'm sorry you lost your Dad. I'm here if you need to talk.

So sorry for your loss. He sounds like a guy who we would all like to be, an adrenaline junkie who loved and lived life! Condolences to you and your family.
Sorry for your loss, Cooter. I'll spin the tires in his honor.
So many of the true hot rodders are no longer with us.
Cheers, Willy
