Here's my car:
In the spirit of this:
and this:
I've been considering doing this:
What say you?
I say do it to some cop steelies so you can change back to your pretty wheels when you get tired of the look.
To really catch that spirit would it not be more appropriate to go with red painted steel rims and true hubcaps?
More like this but with red steel.
I like your car the way it is with the silver rims.
I still have the oem steelies. that did cross my mind as well.
since mine is an '02, it's also a deeper dish than the picture posted.
To really get the look it seems that you need a red interior. Could you maybe get that out of a Marquis?
oh yeah.
When I get around to doing a real exhaust I plan to dump just ahead of my rear wheels on either side.

Fairlane 500, not a Victoria. Last year for the Victoria (for a while, anyway) was 1956 and this car is a 57. The big fins and lack of b-pillar mean it's a 500 and not a 300.
Paint the steelies, the other ones are to nice to mess with IMO. Plus, painted spokes kinda looks Importish (doesn't fit a P71).
Either way I'd leave it as is. I like it.
Since yours is an 02, you should just get some nice 17X9 Cragar steel wheels and rock'm red with the chrome center caps! They'll be nice and meaty looking, and they are fairly reasonable as well at $80 a wheel.
Paint the steelies, run center caps and beauty rings. Like this:
Only Red.
Leave the 5-spokes alone, they look WAY too good to paint. Also, +1 Billion on sidepipes!!!
+1 for leaving the 5spokes alone and painting up some police steelies to match the older hot rod look.
Sweet P71 though! I want one BADDD

I like the red alloys, but then I really like '80s Subarus, so perhaps my opinion is not one to be heeded by the masses.

Me too. I thnk the original poster should leave as is though.
Red steelies with center caps and beauty rings. And red interior, or at least a mexican blanket seat cover.
