I'm striking out on finding these things big enough for my battery cables locally, and they seem to be absurdly expensive on Summit's site.

Need them big enough for 2awg, 0awg, and double ought.

Any ideas or super secret suppliers?

Look for cheap car stereo and/or welding suppliers.

I bought mine from West Marine, so a boat supply store.

Look for Electric Vehicle parts suppliers. DiyElectriccar.com has vendors on the site who would be fine.

What tool do you use to crimp cables that large?

I have some large pliers. And a vise. And a 20ton press if things get ugly.

I may actually have the real tool, now that i think about it.

I used a hammer crimper that I got from the same boat supply store.

http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=35229&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=11151&storeNum=50523&subdeptNum=50566&classNum=50569

But I definitely didn't pay no $95 for it.

I used one of these to crimp the quick-disconnect connectors on the big-ass wire I ran from the truck battery to the trailer winch:

Pin punch and BFH to crimp.

Sometimes I make my own cable ends from 1/4" copper pipe. Cut off an inch or so, split one end, flatten, drill a hole. Put the cable in the still round end, mash with hammer. Add some solder.
