Need to find a spindle for a 88 GTX. Heard a Aspire would work, but anyone know what year???
front or rear?

You could cross-reference the bearings at SKF's interactive bearing catalog to see which ones are similar. Or sign up for Show me the Parts.com and check the different part numbers.
I think all the aspire stuff was the same, the only change was between festiva-aspire, but I could be wrong. I got a bunch of aspire bearings in the garage.

You might want to pm kcbhiw. He went through alot of that interchange stuff when putting the GTX drivetrain into his Escort. He may even have a spare.
If you're looking for a direct replacement, the spindles from the front of a Festiva, Mercury Capri, and any BF-chassis 323 will work. The front and back spindles are the same on the GTX.
The Aspire's spindle is only good for converting to a 4x100 pattern and loosing the captive rotors.
I have a number of GTX spindles in the basement. Cover shipping and I'll send one your way. Email me at kcbhiw (at) gmail (dot) com.
