so the white wheels on my neon irk me. i really dont like them, and they are a PITA to keep clean on a daily.

i still have the stock ACR wheels, but they need refinished.

im debating restoring the stockers to the stock silver, going a charcoal, or going black. i was wondering what opinions y'all had, and if someone could photochop the colors for me. i ave also considered wrinkle blacl/bedliner

thanks, and heres a pic to mess with.

The other thing to consider is platidip, that way if you don't like it, you can just peel it off...

NO BLACK. Black wheels are boring and badly played out. If you MUST have black wheels, at least leave a silver or polished rim so they don't look like giant rubber bagels jammed to the hubs.

Lapis Blue FTW! One of my favorite car colors. Try something funky, like bright orange, or bright green, or lavender. If you are really hating the brake dust, switch to Akebono Euro pads - very little dust, but still decent performance.

IMHO, black doesn't look good, but gold would rock.

Red is too much of a primary color - yellow would be too. With the Lapis Blue being kind of purple, you need a secondary color like orange, green, or purple to go with it.

Steelies. Then you won't worry about it.

The wheels look fine as they are, though.

I just did my first Plasti-dip project on some black trim and I am very happy with the results.
Off the website, you can order special colors and I think it would look good with Smoke Grey

I would guess that 2 cans would do the job.
See youtube and search term "plastidip" for many tutorials.
The key seems to be many light coats about 30 minutes apart or more. I put 6 coats on my trim over two days.

My vote:

YOU berkeleyING RULE!!! (i actually typed it berkleying)

i agree now that i see the black. just no.

now its between the charcoal and the gold.

how will the plastidip hold up over time on a wheel? what has to be done to the surface underneath it?

i like the idea of being able to change it at will.

I go for this custom gunmetalish look on my wheels. Takes a little time to get it, but it's not expensive.

Called stop washing the wheels. Let the brake dust cover them.

Now, if someone would make custom colors for brake dust, that would be nifty.

i think orange would be pimp, but i'm kinda weird and really have no sense of color coordination.

Orange, yellow or bronze on a blue car.

If it were me, I'd go for something like the Subaru STi rims, maybe a shade brighter yellow.

Also- if you put a red stripe down the side, you've covered all of the primary colors, and will look like an adult Playskool toy, which would be awesome.
