I'm trying to help someone install Megasquirt on a Jeep 4.0L. He are running MS2 with a 3.57 board and will be triggering a single coil from an hall sensor in the distributor. He has already done the mods below to install the BIB373 but I'm getting lost on the hall wiring mods. So far no spark but I feel like I'm missing something

Remove R57
Jumper JS10 to IGBTIN.
Solder a BIP373 into the Q16 slot, using a mica insulator
Jumper J1 to the 3-4 position and JP1 to the 1-2 position
Feed Hall sensor 5v from TPSref

Ignition settings:

Spark Mode to “Basic Trigger“ (its a 6 vane shutter wheel in the distributor)
Trigger Angle / Offset 10 (for now)
Ignition Input Capture to ‘Falling Edge‘
Spark Output to ‘Going High (inverted)‘
Number of Coils to Single Coil
Spark A Output Pin to JS10
Dwell type to Fixed Duty
Dwell duty to 50%

Section 5.3.1.1 of the fine manual.

Dwell Type = Standard Dwell

Dwell ~ 3ms for a standard coil

Do you have RPM in TS? No RPM no sparks.

There is no RPM signal to Megasquirt. Looks like he needs to install a 1k pullup resistor across R57. Hopefully after that's done he will be all set.

Pull up did the trick. Another turbo Jeep 4.0L up and running.
