Thanks for the replies. Not that it's important, but I added descriptions of each wheel type because some people were mistaking them for something else.
My main reason for posting this was because I just got the pic with the TT's. I always thought the gray spokes wouldn't go well with the gold paint, and wanted to find out what the general consensus was. I guess I know!
I like 1 best purely in terms of looks, but 3 would be the more practical and better-performing wheel.

My brother has slots on his 65 notch. They look good, but not as good as #3.

3;1;2
...but none of them look bad. ..
In reply to GameboyRMH:
Why do you say that? I have #1 on the car now and functionally they are fine. I have a set of race wheels and tires. These are for street driving, so my question is purely about looks.
The same reasons Ditchdigger pointed out. Tire availability and sidewall height.
If it's just a street car (or these wheels are just for street driving) then tire availability shouldn't be a big problem and the extra meat should give a smoother ride.
Torque Thrusts!
Awesome fastback by the way. I used to own a '65 with Vintage 45 16" wheels and flat center caps, which looks a lot like what you have in picture 3, so I guess I'm biased.

Ansen Slots. No question about it.
Slots!
I feel like everyone and their mom have either those Crags or Thrusts.
(plus I don't really like how they look)
3 would be perfect if you could find some raised white letter tires in that size. RWL FTW!
oooh. Tough one. All are period yet still have the look. 3 & 1 would probably be easier to take care of and either would be my choice nowadays. Although a while back I would have jumped for #2.

One. Old muscle needs a fat tire if performance isn't the number one goal.

That's what I was looking for.
In reply to Hungary Bill:
That was even better.
Definitely the Cragars. The Torque Thrusts are a close second.
1,3,2. Although 2 might be winnar if you swap on the tires from #1

Everyone has #3. I'd pick #1 the way the car is now but my favorite would be #2, white letter tires, and some sweet 70's panel paint to go with it. Oh and maybe some side pipes and of course lift shackles on the rear springs.
1 or 2. Torque thrusts are getting boring IMHO.
In reply to Toyman01:
I agree TT's are overdone, but its hard to find a wheel that looks better on these cars. I was trying to be a little different when I bought the Cragars, but they've never looked quite right to me. That's partly because they look too good for the car. I have looked for years for a set of vintage wheels for the car, but have never found anything. I also would like to use Panasports, but I've never seen them on a pre-'69 Mustang where I thought they looked good.

Sums up my thoughts exactly.
In reply to clutchsmoke:
Not sure I grasp this viewpoint. What is more practical of better performing about a TT over the Cragars? Size? If that's it, that's not really unique to the TT's, as you can get most wheels in larger sizes.
FTR, the tires and wheels that are on it now (#1) suite me fine for street driving. Again, it's the looks I'm questioning. I also don't own the wheels in #3, so to go that route I'd be looking at selling the wheels in #1 and buying everything new. I'm not opposed to doing that, but it's a pretty big investment, which I guess is why I'm asking for opinions.
