I've been using the sink in my garage almost daily for 15 years and the drywall behind it has been taking a beating. I decided that I needed to do something about it.
I sanded away the loose paint and added a nice aluminum backsplash. It's the perfect size.
Total investment for the project was $2.33 for screws, anchors and stainless fender washers, plus the cost of the aluminum. The job took about nine minutes.
It was doggie's first time helping out in the garage.
I bought some 16 gauge stainless steel for a project that I ended up not doing. I used the SS as a back splash for the double laundry tubs in the basement. Yours is coated with some paint that looks like a sign.
Where did you find such a thing?
That's cool and a perfect fit! Looks like it was made for it. Good thinking.
Perfect. And it reminds you how you should wash your hands to keep the germs at bay

I really wanted one of these, but I'm not sure if any of them have been retired yet.
I'm sure some have been "retired" though.

All the ones in Vermont and Massachusetts are really big and up high.
Yours says "SLOW", I have a sign that says "STOP". It wouldn't work to well as a back sp1ash and I'd keep stopping from washing my hands as the sign would say.

Northern Vermont my friend....
Have a similar looking sink, though the wallboard isn't as bad. Yet. Saving up for one of these:
Too bad you didn't have one of these:
more than a few times and usually after drinking I been told hey, let's get some highway signs 'for the race car'.
that is some damn good alunimun
I put up a mirror there. Helps to find the grease on the backs of the elbows, and for giving yourself a haircut.
I have a sign in my garage that says, "end of road". Not sure where it came from. I think my teen age step son may have had something to do with it. Too big for a backsplash.
you need to send a picture of your pup in the garage to Richard Hammond. It'll get him right in the feels, but in the right way, he'll appreciate it.

She has lost her garage privileges, for she is a jumper. She's also about three times the size now.
