Kind of looks like a Plecostomus.
If 2 headlights are good 6 must be better.
The funny thing is that these will sell like hotcakes if they just get some hamsters to drive them on tv (or something like that).
Kill it with fire and nuke it from orbit I really didn't think anyone would be capable of making a car uglier than the Aztek, but I think they've managed...
No, X90s were cute in a totally pointless and questionable way. This Juke thing looks more like a VehiCROSS that got a helluva whuppin with the ugly stick, not just a single backhand to show it who's boss.
Bah, it just looks like an exaggerated version of the rest of the ugly Nissan SUVs. Look at the Murano and the Rogue, they aren't much better.
Except underneath the ugly, the Azzcrack was actually a moderately utilitarian vehicle. This thing looks ugly AND useless.
An honorable mention has to go to GM for this monstrosity. I can hear the conversation in the design department:
"Hey, since the wheels are round, let's put huge square boxes around them!"
"You mean box flares? OK, cool"
"No, I mean big squares, stuck in the middle of a flowing side profile."
"Yeah! And make them 40% too large!"
"Hey, what about the front end?"
"I'm thinking a waterfall of chrome flowing down a huge protrusion!"
"Let's add some random bumps down low too!"
"OK! This is better than the time we got stoned and made the Aztek!"
I'll have to agree about the Juke being god-awful ugly, but it's engine sounds very promising. It's a 1.6L direct-injected turbo with 188 hp and 177 ft-lbs of torque. I could imagine that engine in something small, like Versa sized, being a blast to drive and competitve in autocrossing.
I'll be apostate here. I kinda like it, but it is kinda gnarly looking, in a good bizzaro way. That GM is an automotive disgrace, no matter how good it is under the skin. disclaimer; Nissan loyalist here. second the thought on the engine, I was wondering do the japs do crate engines, 'cause that would rock in a Versa - a car I like for its very, very staid styling - I'm not being very consistent, I know.
Wait a minute. USA Today says the Juke is taking on the MINI Cooper. Exactly what does this mean? The Juke looks to be a mini SUV to me. Is it really seen as a MINI competitor? I would've pegged it as competing against the Soul, xB, etc.
What am I missing?

You are missing the bong the author of that article was smoking. Perhaps that person should stick with articles on knitting...
