I drive all day for work. Im surrounded by a sea of greyscale. Even the colors i do see are subdued. Loke mazdas red is really dark. Theres an occasional mopar or mustang, but its rare.
I'm still debating colors on the stock car project, even though i haven't had time to touch it in months. Its a long way from paint. But i need food for daydreams.
Post up a licture and name (and hopefully color code) of your favorite non metallic, non pearl, non greyscale paint and tell me why it's better than the rest.
This ought to be fun!!
ford area 51 on the bronco, and toyota cavalry blue pn the tacoma.
E46 Laguna Seca Blue is tough to beat in the single stage world...
Porsche has and has had some of my all-time choices for best colors. Two favorites are Zambesi Green and Lava Orange:
Margie
I think any of the "High Impact" colours would be a fitting choice for your project.
British Racing Green is pretty high up my list too
I really love the Brewster Green on the Bentley. It's not bright but it is different.
I also really like the blue I'm moving the company trucks to. It should stand out in the crowd better than the white. I guess it's a metallic but still a fun color.
Unfortunately for me, the last two personal vehicles I've bought have been Black. Probably my least favorite color.
nissan did some great non-pearl, non-flake bright colors for the 1G Xterra. i've only ever seen any of these colors once in the wild. i had a buddy that redid his 3rd gen GTI in Canteen Green (from the same era Xterra palette) and it came out awesome, but definitely not a bright color.
Mineral Blue
Atomic Orange
Shock Blue

Rubystone "red".
Porsche has a whole range of non metallic colors and still uses a lot of them now. Go take a look at a vehicle configurator and pick your favorite(s).
my favorites on the Duster body shape, from most to least favorite, are:
- lemon twist
- panther pink
- plum crazy
- sassy grass
- go mango

Agreed. Visit Rennbow.org and you can spend hours looking at cool colors.
I'm enjoying the hell out of this. So many fun colors I don't get to see very often or ever. And I'm trying to Branch out from the Mopar world. I know it's bodyed as a duster but there's so many other awesome colors out there to explore. Like Bahama yellow.

Kawasaki Green! Originally was commissioned by Jerry Seinfeld for an Exige ('09?). I asked Lotus for the paint code from his VIN.
Scandal Green Lotus Elise.
Oasis blue was such a fun color on my Bolt. Got a lot of compliments from people. Kind of shifted from a bright blue to a teal depending on lighting... Saw it in the showroom and my wife said, "that one!"
I really like the heritage editions of the Ford Bronco's
Robin's Egg Blue
Yellowstone
Aston Martin DBR9 Racing Green. I should have the paint code at home. It has flake but it is a single stage paint.
It has a deceptive amount of range.
Toucan yellow through the Audi Exclusive program. I'm going to hate selling this one early next year. Based on the age my company won't allow me to use it as a company car.
