Brandon Adams (rallyst85), teacher from Wallens, NC, has entered his high school automotive shop class for this year's challenge. Theyve built a supercharged Toyota that looks pretty menacing from the pics.
They've already raised about $1300 of their 1900$ goal and need just a little help to cover the kids travel expense to Gainesville.
Brandon has footed the bill for the car and all parts on a teachers salary no less. It's food and travel expenses they need. Looks to be about 10-12 kids from public high school. Next generation of gearheads...keep the sport alive. We need new blood.
Help em out!
Would you be willing to link the GoFundMe page
Brandon included go fund me link in challenge supreme court thread on page 22 I think. But I can't post a link from my phone 'cause I'm not smart phone literate

Thanks for posting this from the other thread! It deserves more attention.
In reply to Robbie :
Wish I knew how to import/post pics from go fund page. These kids have been working on this car for a year. Transplanted supercharged MR2 engine into a corolla. Progress pics show them with car on a rotisserie, detailing and painting undercarriage!
They appear to be serious about the concours as well as performance.
Noticed your contribution as well as Nelson tribe
I wonder if the kids have tried raising money in their neighborhoods door to door. We'd always do that as kids for Baseball, Football etc. Usually it was a "buy this slightly overpriced candy bar, and the proceeds go to .xxxx"
In any case---- it will be great to have them!
Please note that NC does NOT overpay their teachers.

Ain't that the truth. Wife taught here for 11 years and never broke 35k....
Thanks to the generosity of GRM'ERS...almost there. Only 250 to go!

I know crap about teachers and their salaries, but I do know that N.C. really sucks when it comes to paying them. Exactly where does all that money from the N.C. Education Fund Lottery go? I'm a little surprised more schools aren't attempting the GRM Challenge. Seems like a great way to get students involved and get the school some notoriety.

Donated. Hope they have a blast.
THEY'RE OVER THE TOP!
I feel so fortunate to be a small part of this generous, altruistic hive known as GRM. In less than 8 hours you guys pushed them over. Thanks to this a group of rural public high school kids are going to be exposed to a world they would never have seen otherwise.
In the end we'll be the ultimate beneficiaries of these kids participation in this year's Challenge.
