It has been like three months since I last posted here...sigh. Well, I did break out my camera for the first time of the year in Aug...which really sucks for being a photographer for sure.
I have one night from the Wilmot Raceway this season during fair week. Both of my nephews raced for the first time along with their old man. The family is the biggest team out there with four cars in the Bandit class. The first car is my brother with his hand-me-down Saturn from their teammate Terry, the 79 car. Then there is my oldest nephew with his Mustang and the 88M car. Then we have the Ford Focus which has had 4 different drivers this year and I lost track of how many times they have broken something on this thing, It started with My eldest niece's now ex-boyfriend was going to race it along with my younger nephew's girlfriend different weeks. After the first night of practice, he bailed from doing anything. She started for a couple of weeks and then gave up. My brother talked someone at work into taking over the car and Alex was the third driver. My younger nephew is in a band that has a show most Sat nights. So the only time he got to drive this year was fair week because they were racing this class on Wednesday night. So that makes up the 4th driver of the car and yes he did break something they just fixed the week before...sigh.
On Sunday that week, both nephews ran the demo derby...they did not do very well at all with 2 small cars in the gut and go and class and the elder son doing full-size car...
Then I had a big car show in Sept from downtown Kenosha, WI that was very big and very fun.
After that the end of Sept I took someone who has never been to a car show and swap meet to Jefferson for the fall show which is very, very big. We did not even get through most of the show just because I was dieting from the walking. IT was fun for sure and he said never again every year for this. Heck, it is fun and this was the first time there is almost 10 years I think. And when I say you can find almost anything there...I am not kidding when you can even say I found the bathtub for sale.
