I was thinking, maybe this car is too good. You know corvette drivers used to flash their lights and/or wave to each other, people on bikes tend to wave too. Maybe GRM members should have some kind of special sign. I'm thinking we should run into or scratch each other's cars any time we see someone with a GRM sticker or license plate frame, you know, to make their cars "more grassrootish." For example, if you see a fellow GRM'er with a car that's too nice, you should dent it a few times, bring the value down to $2017 or lower? What do you say? Good idea????
Good idea except: I've gone up to people at auto cross and other places with big GRM stickers, asked who they are on the forum and they look at me like a dog that just saw a card trick.
But what's a little fun without collateral damage?
Maybe you should just shout Berk You!
One of my friends from Maryland recently sent me this photo. I hear they're the fastest rug cleaners in Rockville, MD.
I guess some people just read the magazine and have no idea how much fun we're all having over here.

A wave should suffice.
Denting their car is a good way to get your face dented
For a moment I thought this could be me, I've got a green NB sporting a GRM sticker and I work in NKY
No clue who owns that SAABaru, but it looks nice.

I was gonna suggest a hootus type motion, but that might give the wrong idea.

This would probably help my appearance....

I think the "GRM" with the checkered flag is more likely to be a forum go-er than the normal bumper stickers.

Is that the one that was for sale out of Texas and was listed in the open classifieds?
I have had one person recognize the grm sticker on my Saab locally. He pulled up next to me in traffic and said "I like your GRM sticker- and your brake lights aren't working."
A noble gesture from an upstanding citizen, as I know we all are here.
(And my brake lights still aren't working.)
Dents would improve my truck.

Probably need some tape or something to build up the contact point for the brake light switch on the pedal.

Looks a lot like it but I was under the impression it was going to Florida. How many red Saabarus with GRM stickers can there be out there in the wild?
I've never seen one in the wild (unless meeting other forum members).

Met a guy at one of our autocrosses who was wearing a GRM shirt and had the sticker on his brandy-new Focus RS. Asked if he was on the forum and he said he wasn't and had never even read the magazine.
Pretty sure my reaction was something like this.
In reply to NickD:
So GRM is a hipster thing now?

Apparently
I complimented a coworker's GRM shirt once, and he thanked me and told me he got it at a yard sale. :/
In reply to snailmont5oh:
Must have been an estate sale - I can't imagine any GRMer giving up a wearable GRM shirt while they're still alive.

So the fella I bought race tires from for my C4 challenge car was wearing a GRM t-shirt...and I had to explain the challenge and forum to him so we're rarer than you think

Some wives are more understanding than others. And some of those less understanding wives can be very sneaky!

Not my old saabaru. Wrong wheels and mine didn't have the roof rack or rails.

Yeah, I remember seeing a stack of them at rallycross nationals the year I went. I'm guessing at least one entrant thought he could fix rust by sticker bombing. EDIT: hmmmmmmmmm.
