So for reasons not fully understood, after letting the GT sit in the car all summer with out driving it, the fact that it was actually a warm day on the 12th of December in London Ontario CANADA, made me go for a nice long drive.
Brings my insurance cost down to just under $100 per drive this year!
The wife unit suggested that I should perhaps sell the GT and for less money than I spend on it annually, do a couple of the exotic car rental track days, or track insurance for the FRS.
I have to wonder how logical people make it through life!
But how much does it appreciate a year
Put about 140 miles on my 2002 today, heading into upstate New York. If this is global warming, bring it on! (Tongue firmly in cheek, no political content or intent expressed or implied.)
Sounds like driving it more is an easy fix
Took my RX-7 for a drive this afternoon. It was a glorious 60+ degrees today. Went to my sons hockey game about an hour away.It was awesome! I forget how much I love driving this car.
Your wife is right. PM me your price and I'll meet you in Detroit.
yea the weather was great today in town. a buddy took his nova for a rip today in town. it was nice seeing cars out that you wouldn't normally

apparently its unseasonably warm in florida. I have no idea as this is my first winter here, but i think it wad 80* today.
It was damn near 80 in SC today. We haven't been under freezing this year yet, so we are still dealing with mosquitoes.
I took my grandson on a 2 mile night hike this evening to get his hiking badge for Scouts. With a short sleeve shirt on, I was hot, the bugs were biting. It was a good hike, but being cold would have make it better.
We don't have a lot of winter down here, but I would like to enjoy what we are supposed to get.
I drove the Spitfire 20 feet. Out of and back into the garage. I had to get the mower out. I would have made my big loop, but we had a Christmas party tonight and didn't have time.
I did 150 mile ride on my superbike! Wohoo!
In reply to NOHOME: My 69 B GT is one of my favorite former cars. Drove it year round for years in New Jersey. Traveled to Lime Rock, Watkins Glen and Pocono to attend races w/2 young boys in the back.
Kentucky was 71 degrees today. I wore shorts and washed cars. It's bizarre
Spoke to a friend of mine yesterday who explained that this weather is all his fault, as he recently purchased a snow plow. Now you know.

Would have taken the Miata out (It was 62* here in Rome, NY) but the highway department laid down salt a week or so back.
The good news is, the whole winter is supposed to be like this because it's an El Nino year, and there is 3 other meteorological phenomenon that lined up this year as well. One of the last times it was like this was the winter of '82-'83 and that year there was no measurable snow in NY until mid-February and it was gone by mid-March

I went to PRI in Indianapolis for the day. Wore my GRM tshirt and left the jacket I had brought "just in case" in the car. (2 years ago I remember it was snowing on the way there & thinking I wish I had the Subarust, which I was buying the next weekend)
It was 68 degrees here on the South Shore of Lake Erie. More typical would be 32 degrees.
I took advantage to gather leaves on the north side of my house while I heard golfers out back and motorcycles on the road out front.

I lived on Lyndale back in the 80's.
I was in Columbus yesterday for a Christmas party and it was 68 as I was leaving. No complaining here!
Charleston SC, It's almost 70 degrees. The doors and windows are open. The kids are decorating the Christmas tree while dressed in shorts and t-shirts. Yuck.
We were supposed to have a cooler, wetter winter with record snow and ice.
I woke up to a thunderstorm today. Very odd for mid December here is W. Michigan.
Had it been waking up to 2' of snow I wouldn't think twice though.

Here on Lake Erie, we're expecting unseasonably warm temps to mean the lake won't freeze over much if at all, which will mean huge gigantic snowfall in March when the warming winds pass over the Lake.

Yeah, weather forecasters are just SO good at predicting weather. That's the only job where you can be wrong 90% of the time and still keep your job.
Currently 79 degrees and sunny here in Melbourne, heading for a high of 84 tomorrow.
Makes me regret the decision of putting the v treads on the beater early. So much road noise and no snow :(

Both of those look like fun so quit complaining.
I've been cleaning the house and shop for two days.
