Is this safe?
Awesome .
I'd buy that, for 75 bucks.
Guy actually has loads of cool E36 M3 for sale, (plus some great artwork.)
$575 for his english wheel....
Using that on an old car wouldn't have been such a bad idea if before pumping up the tire, you just pinched off the fuel line and ran the car until it stalled out. That might've been the intended method.
Apparently here is a diaphragm in the plug adapter that separates the engine's mix from the air going into the tire. Or so I'm told.
Unplug the harness from the fuel injector silly! I can see where that might have some serious value as the kit is so heavily marked Schrader! If someone told you your car had a leaky Schrader valve, would you have any idea WTF they were talking about?

Certainly. I know there are other uses for Schrader valves, but my brain immediately goes to tire valve stem when I hear Shrader valve.
That's one way to pump up a tire, but in my limited experience, when a tire is flat it's because it has a hole in it. Was this meant to keep the tire somewhat inflated as you drive? If so, it must be a bit tough to use if you need the hood open a bit as you drive down the road. But then again, gas stations with mechanics were a lot easier to find/more numerous than the mini-mart with pumps we have now.
I actually had one of these and used it many times. It was way better than walking and when the cars still had sparkplugs you could acess it wasnt very hard to use.
I had one of these for my motorcycle(88 BMW R100GS),and you could easily shut off the fuel going to one of the carbs, and then fill the tire from that side. The boxer ran a bit funky on only one side, but it worked.

That pump comes from a time in history when a cars trunk had a set of tire irons, patch kits and spare tubes and folks repaired flats on the side of the road.

Sure. I know what a Presta valve is, too.
I've pumped up tires using one of those. Mine pumped clean air.
12V electric compressors weren't nearly as common then, and it sure beat a bicycle pump.

haha, I am guessing the bikers will know this one.
Funnily enough, when I hear schrader I don't think car tire, I think mountain bike...
In reply to RedS13Coupe:
It wasn't until I bought a mountain bike that I found out there was more than one design of valve stem! I had never seen anything other than the typical "Schrader" !
