I got a kick out of watching Chris Harris review Stigs lap of the RS.
Understeer, understeer, watch the stig manage the understeer beautifully.
I guess he was not a fan.

In reply to Nick (picaso) Comstock:
Yeah, watching Ben Collin's lap in it with one of the Ford engineers showed quite a lot of understeer and missed apexes, especially while using drift mode.
I suspect more tire pressure and a more aggressive alignment will help that, but its still a bit of a heavy FWD biased car, so one has to know how to drive one of those well to get the most out of it.
Also TopGear of the past has been known to sandbag laps (the Hawk Stratos replica for example) for their own narrative.
BTW, Matt LeBlanc now owns one:

So perhaps Harris was taking the piss our of Matt for buying one? That is also pretty par for the course among TopGear hosts and, in general, car folks :)
Well, my RS was completed on 7/14, has a current build date of 7/17, and according to Ford Service, was transported to the port sometime last week. Now the next East coast ship is the Talia (and as I type this, my desk is being shared by my cat named Tali), leaving the day after tomorrow, 7/28. What are the chances that my car could be on it?
Awesome.
Mine is apparently on a boat currently.
BTW, I suspect we were very lucky:

The comments are hilarious. A lot of whinging "OMG you should have bot a hellcat LOL"
To paraphrase a friend's comment regarding a certain Mercedes, my hairline hasn't receded enough for me to want a Hellcat.
In reply to Knurled:
Yeah, I expected better from that site, but I guess it's gone down hill since I've last visited regularly.

I assume you already know about this page?

TTAC is still somewhat decent, as long as you ignore any comment thread started by the big truck YouTube review guy.
Starting to see them on the road. Local dealer just got two in stock, pre-sold of course, a black and a really cool blue.
I saw a grey one here in Denver last week. I gave the guy a thumbs up and he gave me the finger. I guess I should have expected it from someone in an Affliction shirt...
Well, it appears that my RS didn't make it onto the Talia as I had hoped it would. The next ship coming to Jacksonville, the Harmony Leader, leaves 8/20 and arrives 9/15. Pretty sure it will be on that one, as it is supposed to be carrying 250+ RS's.
Guy had a white one at the Wilmington Pro Solo, had some GRM stickers on it IIRC. Didn't get to see it run though.
I'm having a hard time waiting on a custom bicycle I ordered. Can't imagine what it's like waiting for the RS, and having setbacks like that - I know you just have to be patient, but I'm not made to handle it apparently!
Hope it arrives soon so we can enjoy it through you!

I saw it too. Looked pushy. However I didn't see what tires it was on or any of it's times.
I just some really good news from my dealer:
Order No Body Code VIN Vehicle Line Primary Secondary Vehicle Location Status Date / Time Start Date End Date ETA Disposition S502 P3T WF0DP3TH0G4116332 Focus Rs In Transit Shipped Ocean - Voyage # GARNET LEADER (Hoegh Autoliners Inc ) Ramp 9X, Germany Port, GC Aug-04-2016, 00:01 CET
According to NYK, Garnet Leader left Zeebrugge on Aug. 3rd and is due to arrive in Jacksonville on Aug. 18th. So it looks like I'm only a few weeks away from delivery!

Read up on Vorshlags fairly comprehensive review... The rear dif shutsdown 90% of the time which means it's a fwd car with 350hp...

Except that 99% of the time, you are not using 350hp anyway.
In reply to jstein77:
Sigh, mine hasn't and FordService doesn't see it loaded on any boats. My dealership is reading the info wrong, which is apparently common.
I'm really annoyed right now, but I'm going on vacation next week, so I have to just shrug my shoulders and try to enjoy myself.
This whole process has been an absolute E36 M3 show and I hope Ford is paying attention.

You're using it a lot of the time at the track. Read the review.
Ford is claiming the car will do 20 minute sessions with no mods. They reported nearly 300° oil temps after 3 hot laps in a row. Rear diff shutting down, etc.
