Have you guys been following the Tire Rack One Lap of America? Andy Hollis--yes, the same one who writes for us--is currently fourth overall in his Honda CRX. I don't mean that he's fourth in class, I mean that he's fourth out of the entire field. Three Nissan GT-Rs are leading the pack.

Yes, amazing.
Yes, I've been following via social media and yes it is truly amazing.
GO ANDY GO!
And I just heard from Ann Hollis. They're doing great!
Trailing the Godzilla stampede in a CRX is very impressive! Usually it's a nutty modded Corvette in that position.
Been following on the book of faces and they're results at just fantastic. I was also sad that they drove through my town on the way to the corvette museum, but work prevented me from cheering them on as they drove through.
Go sensei Ann and Andy, keep moving up! (They were my instructors for Evolution School Phase I and II...)
I'd call that an accomplishment. If only 3 Godzilla clutches burn up over then next couple of days...
ZOMIGODD-YOU A GTR JUST TO EVEN COMPETE!!!
Nope.
Any chance of a feature on his car?
I love the class too...........Econo car. Amazing stuff.

You mean 6? 2 per car...
I'll give the CRX an even chance if the Datsuns have to shift 2-4-6 or 1-3-5...
The CRX has been in the magazine, but there's more planned.

don't remember if the article had the well built 2.0l engine that's in the car- but I found that on his FB page. if you wade way, way, way down into earlier posts, you will see a K20A2 was very well built and installed.
lots of other posts are about some serious development that he did to the car- brakes, suspension pieces, etc. Not stuff you know that needs to be done based on a recipe, but because he's drive the the car for a very, very, very long time, and knows the deails of the weak points. At least that's how I read them. I see a lot of little details that were done.
Time, more time, some money, more time, and a lot of seat time- this is what you can do to.

I think what's interesting is that despite his development of the CRX he has got an 911 GT3 track car, right?
I'm 99% sure they no longer have the GT3.

The GT-R team just ahead of the giant killer CRX has a guy I briefly met once on the team. In fact, he is the guy who mounted my A048 tires for me when I lived in Hunstville. That's kinda cool.
