Have my optima sitting in the swap car, but disconnected. (Bought brand new, used about 6 months) but it's been sitting in the car now for about 6 months. Should I have this thing on a tender? (Yes, I know it's an optima and can't be tendered normally)

Yes. Yellow tops are meant for minimal useage/storage. My tender has a special mode just for AGM batteries that I use on my race car.
