From the factory, the P71 only blows AC through the dash vents. You can't direct it to the floor or defroster vents. Any chance I could add a separate 'AC On' switch to activate the AC? Other people experience failures in the airbox flaps or vacuum motors and end up with AC through the floor or defroster, and I'd like to force that behavior though I'm not experiencing those failures.
You just need to add a switch for the compressor circuit to make it run when floor is selected. The compressor will run in the defrost position- if it doesn't, its broken.
Just as a, um, heads up, you're not supposed to have cold feet about a P71 on this board.
