I've read the door bushings are the same regardless of chassis. I 3D printed some beautiful abs door bushings and the door won't close. Is the internet right about all Miata door bushings fitting all Miata? Is there any install tips?

ok I got the door to close but had to slot the new door bushings with a drill. Apparently they pushed out too far to allow the door to close.

Yeah the FM bushings have a bit of adjustment to them and my passenger door is a bit iffy to close now because I got that one off a bit and never went back to fix it. (100% my error installing them to be clear)

And for reference, these aren't FM door bushings. This is my own home brew 3D print. Thus I ask the living Miata encyclopedia.

It's possible to design a bushing that fits all Miatas, but a bit of on-car adjustment is sometimes required. I've never tracked down the specific cause, probably slight differences in door alignment.

I didn't meant to imply those were FM bushings. I just said the FM bushings seem to be designed with the same fix you ended up finding yourself.
