[Vin Diesel voice] I'm putting a crew together...one last job.
The local news had a guy from Utica on who had an Audi that he had ordered that was on that ship. He said as soon as he saw the news report of the ship on fire, he took a photo and sent it to his salesman and said "Tell me my car isn't on that ship" and the salesman replied "Sorry, hate to break it to you."

It will eternally stalk the seven seas, ephemeral in appearance, a never ending viking funeral with eternal flames and the screams of a thousand cars going honk in the mist.
They are talking about 150 million dollar lose......
was this just bad luck , or is shipping EVs going to cause problems.....
So, she sank today. So long 4,000 cars.
The ship sank about 250 miles off shore in bad waether while it was being towed back to harbor in an area where the water is about 3,000 meters (9,842 feet) deep, the Portuguese Navy said in an emailed statement. There’s some wreckage at the site and a small stain of oily residue that’s being dispersed by water cannons from the tug boats. A navy ship with divers and clean-up equipment will return to the area once it’s resupplied.
Also, being an insurance guy my mind is boggled as to how all of this is going to play out financially.

I think something I read last week they had raised the estimate to north of $300 million.
And this forum scoffed at me when I said LiPo fires were bad news. It's sad to see this happen, and yes it will likely increase shipping costs for EVs because that's how insurance works. As risk goes up, so do rates.
