That would look good dropped over a Modified chassis.

A very similar 912 body over a modified frame would leave enough in the budget for a celebratory picnic for 40 friends.

I'm going to store that idea in the back of my brain. But not too far back...

Why is any bodywork more involved than a skim of Bondo and a respray always listed as a "quick pull"?

That is like saying "has a rod knock, easy fix, $20 in parts"

now that I've put some thought into it start with a smaller Pro Four modified and have the engine hang out the sides like a VW midget.

In reply to Woody:

Looks more like it was in a barn fire than a barn find. And to think I bought a daily driver 356B for $3000. back in the early 80's. Early model Porsche prices have gone nuts. I really don't understand.

there is a repair shop in charlotte that would probably pay 20k for that.

they'll spend another 100k building an entire new body for it. then charge some retard 200k for it...

I helped a guy on FB in California buy a '60 cabriolet that was about half of that car (maybe a third) for $1200 earlier this year, sitting in a field in SD. The only plus that I found worthy was that it had a Title.
