the e36 did have a cheap interior.. but I think that was more BMW learning to do things with glues that have less environmental impact. Just like Paint from the 90s that always seems to peel off.. the manufacturers were learning how to use new materials in the old way
Well, the e46 didn't improve much on the gluing.
And that stupid interior paint thing that everyone was doing too.
