Hurst Lightning Rod.
One for each gear. Makes your slushbox into a an almost Lenco.

I have a drilled billet aluminum ball on a hurst stick bolted to atriax shifter on the tremec in my dduster. I paid 50 bucks for that knob. Only ever seen one other like it. Fits my hand perfectly.
I'll post pictures sometime this weekend. Hopefully.
Never understood the current fad for large round knobs - I prefer the slimmer often more taller old fashioned knobs, or the modern Momo style.
I'm currently removing the original knob on my Solstice and replacing it with a spare NOS knob I have for an old Lamborghini.
My grandparents had a Voyager with a fade/balance knob. When you twirled the knob around with your thumb, the sound goes around the car.
There have been some comments on here that I have no idea what, who, or how they refer to knobs at all.
Best shift knob I ever had is two vacuum caps on a bare shifter stick, with the whole thing cocooned in grip tape.
Looks weird, shifts awesome.
It helps that the shifter stick is most of an inner tie rod from I think a Ford Tempo, welded to the base of the OE shifter then bent to an appropriate angle. Stock shifter in an FB RX-7 is too far away for me to reach. (SA shifter was perfect )

Wish I still had it, (wish that one was mine!) with leaving for the army, 195k, rotting bumpers, valve guides going bad and my father (who could be rough as hell on vehicles) it was time for it to go, want another SOOOO BAD though.
