I have a problem which may be too easy for you guys here but I'll ask anyway since I'll try to fix it myself. The power lock in the front passenger door of my wife's 2003 CR-V decided to stop working. The power lock still works in the remaining four doors.

My question is, how to determine if it's the problem with the power lock actuator (or is it a solenoid?) in the front passenger door or if it's wiring problem? Is there any online reference on how to take out the door panel? I couldn't find the Haynes manual for this car at local Pep Boys and Advance. It should be pretty straight forward but I just want to make sure that I have some sort of reference in case I screwed up. Thanks all.

This same thing happened to my wife's 99 CR-V EX last year.

They've been grumpy since the 150k mark. One of the actuators had to be replaced (driver's side), the other came back to life with a simple shot of lube (passenger side).

How did you test to find out if the actuator was bad or not?
