I know that an 82 Camaro is pretty easy to overwhelm the pump, and that's with a pretty fast ratio box. There is only so much fluid available.

Nice! Did you go hardtop or soft top? IMO the Clubs are the best looking hard tops of the NC bunch (with the exception of the 25AE, but those are uncommon enough not to count).

I too think that the Club is one of the best-looking Miatas. Just gotta wait for them to get in my price range.
I had the same issue when running hard thru a slalom in my RSX S. Synthetic solved the problem for me.
