In reply to preach (dudeist priest) :
I spent some time on the Hunley in Holy Loch Scotland while "visiting" a couple of the old boomers that were tied up to her back in the mid '80s. They're all gone now. Loving your pictures, keep them coming!
Day 3:
not much today but for all you Pajero fans I learned that the Mini is a true Kei car with the correct width and the 660cc motor, the Jr has fender flares and a 1000cc motor so it is not a Kei.
now some pics:
Some of the abandoned crap that is around. This is on the base, there is an amazing amount of it everywhere.
And like the old Suby vans I posted earlier ( I got to chat with the owner of one today too), here is a car that I have never seen/heard of and once again another a stones toss away:
Lastly for today, and I have kinda been avoiding this stuff but it is around, there are stance folk here. To each their own as far as I go with cars, but the roads here are E36 M3, so I kinda don't get it.
So if you dig it you can follow the owner here:
Another bit of a dump for the last couple of days. I am seeing a ton of cars driving but I feel like a bunch of Jimnys, Pajero Minis, and Kei trucks would be excessively boring. They are everywhere though.
Land Rover inspired Jimny?:
Another used car lot. The first one was open when I passed today, I am proud of myself for not stopping and seeing how much the homogulated celica and sti prices were.
This one was locked and had many of the same cars already posted so semi sorry for the fence shots.
Here is the JDM version of a gs300 that my buddy GSJay loves...
2JZ No E36 M3!
The rest are pretty random :
One of these Hilitai scared the E36 M3 out of me today. Hilitai is a berkeleying monitor lizard:
Stepped out of the hotel to get some lunch and spooked it. It was 2 1/2-3' long and reasonably girthy. Fast too no time to get my phone out.
More:
And seriously berkeley that big ass lizard. Apparently there is a black skinned one with yellow spots that will kill you with poison or some E36 M3 from its bite or claw just like it.
if I saw that thing at home in NH it would have been shot as sad as that may be...
We use to go hiking in the jungle on base as there is still quite a lot of bunkers and such from ww2 there. I don't recall ever seeing any large lizards or such.
