I'm always in the market for something funky, and lately these have been catching my eye. So tell me what you know/think/heard about the incredible egg.

They are pretty funky and a PITA to work on but are stone cold reliable. I see lots of Messicans driving them around here, covered with ladders and paint buckets and etc., that's generally a good sign that they are tough. The losers in that rating game: Aerostars and the '90's Caravans.
From what I've read over the years on this board:
1) They are RWD.
2) They were available with a 5-speed, but not with the awd trim
3) They were overbuilt even for Toyota, so they really last
4) Engine bay is small, so hard to work on
5) It's a RWD, mid engine, 5-speed minivan, what's not to like?

Well, the driver is part of the front crumple zone, but if you're okay with that everything else is gravy.

Is it just me or would one be an awesome Locost donor? Low CG with the flat supercharged engine, maybe Indy Roadster style?
People scarf up on the uprights for Locosts.
Needs to be painted white and have "Project D" on the side. Or painted up to look like a Shuttlecraft. The SC15 version would be way cool, and "If I Recall" from net-wisdom (AKA "bullE36 M3 that people repeat with no firsthand knowledge), that block with a 2T or 3T head is the high HP trick.

The front uprights? What makes them special?
In reply to Zomby woof:
Yeah, that and the Previa drift/TRD Previa vids aren't helping to quell my cravings.

I hear they're awesome canoe paddlers!
Sometimes we all are too quick to forget that one time new york asian escorts once ruled Rome in many escort years...we should all celebrate sometime around november.

The video is instructive: look at the windshields. Toyota cracked, stayed in place; Honda splintered and blew out.

Did you mean Peraves not Previa?

The only thing I know about Previas is for some stupid reason, they're worth their weight in gold bullion around MN- I've been looking for one for a while, and can't seem to find one under 1500$ that doesn't have precisely every mile ever on it. Seeing them well over 200k miles and still commanding 2 grand is not uncommon.
My mom had one when I got my license. On the back roads near my house, it was not uncommon for me to, um, air it out a bit. Tough, tough van. Although it did seem to bounce off the rear bump stops rather easily. The front accessory drive failed, so we had to check the oil under the driver's seat.
