This may have been posted before, if so I missed.
These guys are impressive.
That rust is 'moderate' by Michigan standards. The jig /table is incredible!
I do feel a bit bad about that nice, rare Celica getting robbed of its powertrain. I assume the rest went to scrap. Wish thay had started with a wreck or one in severly bad shape.
I love that build and, yes you must have missed them, but this is about the tenth thread here about Binky. Nobody compains because it's just that fun to watch.
Dang, I too thought the latest episode had been released when I saw the thread. Been following this build for months now, love every bit of it!

dang me too
I wonder if they're ever going to finish that thing? They've been at it for a couple of years now. Episode 1 was posted Aug 17, 2013.
If you've ever built a car like this, you know it takes a long time. Especially if it's a side project. Took me two years to do the MG, and that was a less involved project without entertaining video shoots.

And THAT was lightning quick for the scope.
In reply to Keith Tanner:
And the details... remember when he made those radiator hold down brackets, mentioning that it "took bloody ages..." Now multiply that times an entire car.
I would be willing to bet the videography adds a substantial amount of time to the build as well. Just stopping to take pictures for a build thread adds up pretty quickly.
Don't forget the voice over work.
From the video (15:59): "I'm really not sure that tools will be necessary to complete this part of the job, as a swift kick to the nuts and they should just fall off."

No stones will be thrown from my glass house.
I have way more time invested in way crappier builds and no documentation to show for it.
Watched the first few episodes so far. The fab work is pretty awesome but what really struck me were the waterfalls of rust that erupted when they were removing the old panelling. E.g. the floor in ep.1. Wow.
Also that 'grinder scarecrow' is badass.
Well... feel free to buy something to help finance the build.

Yeah...but did an editor not put a gun to your head and make you write a book in the middle of the MG build?
You'll need to log in to post.
