Smiles per a mile driven, 981 Cayman S or ND? (And I wish that I could edit the thread title to correct Wallens :( , I apologize)

Wow, tough comparo. I'm a huge fan of convertibles. I also like Porsches.

Hmmmm, would you rather have a new convertible or a pre-owned hardtop? If just going on smiles per mile, the ND might be the one.

Hate to cop out, but drive both. That is a heck of a question.

To use a common analogy from here in Upper Appalachia. Horses for courses.

Okay, Rupert, for the benefit of those of us not familiar with Upper Appalachian idiom - what does that mean?

As in, use the Clydesdale to pull the wagon full of stuff but the quarter horse to win the Kentucky Derby. Here, I interpret that as Cayman S if you smile bigger the faster your lap time, ND if smiles per mile involves a twisty public road, top down, and a lovely companion.
