But there's serious potential for scca style to be hosted as well, Philly region should finally have a permanent home. GRM staff may note the BMX track as well. Not far from Dover and the beaches are too far away as well.

" The Sudlersville Town Commission is supportive of the project..."
Right up until it gets going and operates for a year or two and the new neighbors in the recently-built 500-house subdivision start bitching.
In reply to Duke :
I'd normally agree, but $15M capital investment, lodging taxes and andeand a pair of restaurants being viable within the town will be far more revenue for the county then the property taxes from 30 mcmansions.

You'd be more intrigued by the property search in eastern TN for a 3rd location to be even more rally focused and to include a rally and vehicle control instructional facility. It's going to be 225+ acres and have a proper stage for rallysprints on site.

not heard about this but I am in the ETR SCCA rallycross group on FB

Sure, but if this place has a proper wheel-to-wheel rallycross series that is affordable enough for normal people to enter I'd be very, very interested.
EDIT: Actually, you know what? If it doesn't I'd be interested in organizing it myself, assuming it's possible to rent the track.

Still in the site acquisition phase, but it's between 3 potential locations as of this week.
Sudlersville is right in the middle of the peninsula where it's pretty rural as I recall. I don't think they'd name a locale without having thought through a lot of this. Pastrana is a smart guy.

It being 30 minutes from Dover, may I suggest an alternative challenge format, rallycross and standing start mile on the monster mile.
Cross karts for everyone! I think this would be great. There is definitely interest out there to support a venue like this.

Me too. Entry level w2w rallycross is something I'd seriously consider where I'm not sure if stage rally is for me. Crosskarts have my attention.
