If Facebook is to be trusted, Rallycross Nationals will be in Iowa at the Indianola Balloon Grounds this coming August 7-9, 2015.
Here's the link to the unofficial announcement: https://www.facebook.com/SCCARallyX/posts/854117487982075
Here's a picture of DMVR SCCA (us) enjoying only about 1/3 of the property. That course was still 95 seconds long. There should be plenty of room for multiple courses and obligatory grid/parking areas.
Anyone else excited?
Looks like a fantastic site and I'm glad they moved it. I'll have to see if I can juggle my summer schedule, but I'm pretty sure it's too early for me to make it.

What what WHAT? Nationals is being held in the summer?? What sorcery is this?
I'm there. Guaranteed. Well, I'd be there if it was being held in Colorado or Texas or something, but the fact that it is going to not be ass-cold, and another hundred miles closer, will be a massive massive plus here. It was still daylight last year when I was stuck in Des Moines when my bank decided to cancel my card because of suspicious charges.
Being summer means camping on-site becomes a much more sane idea, too! Camping at multi-day events is always a lot more better for comaraderie than everyone packing up and filtering out to different hotels every night.

I'll be there for sure driving something. Looks like it could be a fun site.

Well, you'd look pretty ridiculous running down the course, holding an imaginary steering wheel, making vroom-vroom-psssst-vroom noises.

Might be OK in heels though. Lol.

I can see that being a judged class if the LeMons organizers start doing rallycrosses.
there's a slim chance that I have the 323 ready to go for this.

And your times wont be competitive, but assuming you don't have any 'breakdowns' you will likely beat quite a few cars.
I am marking my calendar now.

So is that a no for getting too drunk and biking the course again? Like every year (national challenge)

Is "biking" the new slang for peeing?

I haven't tried that at a national championship yet, maybe because they are always too cold. Not this year!

Hmm.. 9 hours vs 12. Summer vs 34F and 25mph winds.
LOL, having grown up in IA all I can say is be careful what you wish for! It could be in triple digits with a healthy dose of humidity around that time in August ;-)
The last two years felt like we were rallycrossing on Hoth. A little heat sounds nice.
