First off, who knows what's the closest active region to Bowling Green, Kentucky.

That's not that many questions, but I'm sure I'll have more later.

Like if bringing my '95 Ram would be kosher or not...

The Ram would be too high and not allowed due to rollover risk

It is very unlikely your Ram would be able to compete. While I have seen some small trucks in events before, I've never seen a full sized truck.

I figured, guess I need to keep an eye out for something still more car-like.

Something like a full size truck would depend a lot on the region and the terrain at their typical sites. Some may allow it, but many won't. As far as things I've seen be allowed, I've run my Jeep, and I've heard of a 2wd dually pickup showing up to an event and being allowed to run

For less than the cost of a trip to the auto body shop, you could have a nice rally car. If you just need to scratch that rally itch then I would buy the first manual transmission four banger that comes up. Seriously.

As for closest, Western Ohio and Oh Valley (Dayton and Columbus OH) would be about 4hrs I think. I could swear there was a KY region that was starting a program but I can't find any postings on our Facebook groups.

The east tn region does rallycross. Seems the next event is in tazwell, tn about 3.5hrs from you

More specifically you should keep an eye out for something that is a car. In rallycross, trucks almost never do well, no matter the size or type (though there are a few well-built exceptions out there).

Even if you could bring your Ram, it would be the slowest thing out there and would just tear up the venue if it's soft and annoy everyone else probably

I'll agree with the slowest thing out there bit. I've lost to a Prius sometimes when running the Jeep. Big, heavy vehicles and tight sections on the course don't really go together well.

As far as tearing up the course, I generally make less ruts than the RWD guys that just put their foot down and spin through the whole course

We had a Ford Raptor come out to one of our events... they had to measure to make sure he wasn't taller than he was wide.

I agree something smaller an more nimble would be better. Honestly the Vette is probably to much of a pig too

But the rooster tails are epic!

A few RWD Volvos have been catching my eye. This still doesn't answer my region question though. My searches have dug up probably nothing in Kentucky and /maybe/ something in Tennessee.

Not sure how far you are from Paducah, KY. I saw that they just started running rallycross this season.

Roughly 3 hours away it would seem. (I'm in Glasgow). Seems reasonable if I could actually go play.
