I have developed and odd rattle which has been hard to find. I gave up trying to find it myself so I went to the dealer, It is still under warranty.
The tech was very thorough , spending nearly an hour. He finally reported that the rt. front strut was the culprit and it was leaking. This seems to be the general location of the rattle.
I have to wait for the parts to come in. This is because the FiST parts are special. It's a 2018 with 18.8K miles
So now I wait. I'm still a little skeptical .
Has any one eve had a strut rattle.

Yep. See this once in a great while on Acuras. And there is a rattle on my daughters Sentra from the dust boot not being in place when some clown (me) replaced a broken spring.
Hell yea!!!
I have seen this many many times over the years.

Yes there's plenty of things in/related to the strut that can rattle when it goes bad. If it's leaking that's a pretty clear sign it's gone bad...even if it's somehow not the source of the rattle it's a problem in itself and trying to find any other issues is going to be pointless until that's replaced. Wearing the struts out that quickly is unusual but not unheard of. I know someone who had both struts on their fiesta st leaking in under a year of driving and a season of autocross.
Thanks guys.
I just have never run into this before.
