So many memories there. Love how he's honored both Honda and his own racing legacy so well. And what a fountain of knowledge! I do remember his super-dry sense of humor. Still has it, I see.
First met PD (then called "Petey"), at Solo Nationals in Salina in the late 80's, along with Randy Pobst back before either went off road racing. TC Kline (then called simply "Tom") was also a Honda guy for awhile.
Dix Erickson (RIP) ran Honda Special Projects, the predecessor to HPD. So it was cool to hear him mentioned. There's a Special Projects promo video somewhere which includes a segment with my wife Ann, back when we were both fighting for Pro Solo championships in Hondas.
Things came full circle when we worked with PD's guys under the Realtime tent for our final year in World Challenge, winning the driver's championship in TCA with Tom O'Gorman. That Realtime team shirt still hangs proudly in my closet.
I only watched like the first 30 seconds, and now I want a race car room, too.

Flying out after the St Pete Grand Prix two (?) years ago. Sitting in the row behind PD. The woman next to him struck up a conversation and was asking super basic racing questions. She had no idea she was sitting next to a road racing legend.
Larry Chen is the interviewer- one of my favorites for Datsun material.
Very cool. Haven't watched the whole thing yet but I will.
I got a tour of his collection about five years ago. The shelves in the back room had cars on them back then. Also got a ride from Peter at the SCCA March of Dimes event at Road America a bunch of years ago in the TSX he had just won the championship in. He spent a whole day giving rides for charity. He's a really decent guy and was/is a helluva driver.
Watched the whole thing which is surprising considering Larry Chen was hosting, Peter was very entertaining though. Not a Honda guy but watching the Realtime cars compete in the Speedvsion sponsored series was part of my formative years so it was neat seeing those cars again and hearing about their history including the stuff well after I stopped following.
