A friend of the family has a 2011 bmw 3 series wagon that is being told needs some eccentric shaft replaced for 1800. Might be possible I know they are complex. I told her to get second opinion. Does anyone know a shop in Columbus?
thanks

I haven't dealt with it (yet) on my E82, but the recommendation from more than one BMW tech is to replace the PCV with an cheap aftermarket one rather than replace the whole valve cover (which is the only way you can get a new BMW PCV - don't get me started...). ~$30 on Amazon or Ebay for the PCV, plus the eccentric shaft sensor and a new VC gasket should be a lot less than what they're quoting.
A million years ago in GRM-time there was a Durocco...
The owner/builder Anson Ivan continued on with great videos like this one.
The Durocco completed in the 2010 GRM Challenge.
He later aged on to be a parent and generally an adult who is a BMW specialist mechanic at Best Motor Works on E. 5th Ave, near the Columbus Airport.
I am not sure if Anson still works there. I sold the e30 he worked on for me in 2012 and I have not talked to him since. Great guy. Great work.

In reply to John Welsh :
I came here to post that. Pretty sure he is still there but I haven't talked to him for a bit.
