Good news for those that remember the old days
If the border opens i will be there. If not hopefully it is a success so it will be run in 2022 hopefully the border will be open by then!
That's awesome.
The only reason I have any idea of what-the-hell-it-is is because I'm an old Saabnut who collected as much Saab-related magazine stuff that I could find and remember reading an old R&T article about it...
...nice to find it online for reference,
reprinted here if interested:

When I posted this I wasn't sure how many people would remember the old longest day.
I have a soft spot in my heart for this venue since this is what got me into racing and cars. I missed the first two races but caught all the rest and he actually worked in one of them.
We won the champcar 24 hour race there in 2018. Missed the overall record number of laps by a hand full iirc.
Super fun track!
I followed any writing on this race back then. I even had a few friend race in it a couple of times. I always wanted to but never got the chance.
Lemons racing is OK, I've run in a couple and attended many as crew/spectator but as fun as they are some aspects of Lemons racing I am not a fan of.
Club racing is racing and that's what I like best.

Sounds like you should try champcar or wrl or aer. They aren't lemons...
Champcar is the only one that does a single class for the overall (same rulebook for all).
No stupid themes... no costumes... real racing. Fast lap of a 1:14 at n elsons set last year in a champcar. Obviously not record pace, but faster than a lot!
If my dad's house looked like this I guess I'd feel kinda lame if i DIDNT own a racetrack. That was a fun couple of minutes on google.. Back to reality...
Brian's a pretty alright dude. I've only ever seen his dad driving through in a Bentley or something similar.
I attended the Longer Longest Day LeMons ran there about a decade ago. That was a crazy race.

They have a decent facilities trailer at the events that I've attended. Of course if you want to Authentic Nelson experience, you can still use the outhouses.
In reply to rustybugkiller :
Those didn't exist in the mid to late 90's. The pits were also grass and mud and the "pavement" was all patches.
