After 25 years its going to be knocked down for an industrial park.
Not much left , a couple NHRA drag races at Pomona and whatever Nascar has planned for Fontana ,

No longer hosted Hoonigan after someone (cough, BJ Baldwin, cough) tore up the grass in their little cordoned-off designated area, and then Hoonigan imploded shortly aftern
Long called "The House of Drift" by Formula Drift because that's where it all started. They just had the 2024 season finisher there two weeks ago.
Sad to see it go, but this track has been on borrowed time for a while. Every couple years, Formula Drift would say this is the last year there because the track is closing, and then it would get a stay of execution.
I remember when Irwindale opened. It was state of the art (still is) and was to serve as the model for short-track oval racing. Several other new short tracks tried copying their formula, with limited success. Ultimately, if property values exceed the value of it being a race track, it's not going to be a race track for long. RIP Irwindale. I wish I made it out there.
Irwindale got thru the city BS but saying it would keep "kids" from street racing , and they did have Thursday night drags.
But it sits at the corner of 2 big freeways so the property has always been in play by the developers , At one time it was going to be Walmarts district wherehouse which never happened ,
Maybe I need to go to the Mooneyes show for the last time.
RIP
