Speak for yourself. I have lived in South Carolina and Washington State.... Rust free is possible...
It is possible but us Rust Belt folks just don't know what it's like. My cousin is a mechanic and he said the best thing he ever did was move from Chicago to Las Vegas. He said it's a night and day difference working on a 15 yr. old car that doesn't have a spec of rust underneath it.

I lived in PA most of my life and went to school in Upstate NY. I understand. Now my wife wants to move to chicago. Ugh.. my first response was "now my play cars will be rusty".

Park it if you can. If driving is a necessity get to the car wash ASAP, preferably automatic w/ the undercarriage spray. I'd wash religiously w/ the wand but that ain't even close to gettin' where that berkeleying brine went. Protecting the frame and underside was the number one reason I had my '14 rust proofed even after dealers advice not to.

Salt is a fact of life in the NE and is bad enough but that brine is the Debil, get it outta there. Research says anti-corrosive additives are available for brine but Pa. does not use it, go figure.
