that's a desert car from Phoenix, AZ. Desert Valley Auto Parts is the seller, it's listed under whole cars for sale in their Survivor section
I know it only looks to be surface rust but please spend a few extra bucks to add the word "surface" to your ad
Was looking at an MG once a few years ago. The owner was telling me it was rust free. I wrapped my arm through the gaping holes in the floorboard and waved to him from underneath the car. Even asked him if he thought this was oem.
He truly couldn't get it. He just kept regaling me with tales of wonder about the car, and how pristine it was. I don't think he was capable of seeing the rust and holes.
When shopping for my first car in '98, a '73 Super Beetle came up in the local want ad, about an hour away from home. "Rust free, runs great, clean original car, etc etc, $3k" Upon my arrival, I noted plates that had expired in '84, and it had clearly been used as outdoor storage/chicken coop/mouse nursery, several coats of latex house paint, etc. Strike one. Engine fired eventually, but would only run on two cylinders, and only at WOT. Strike two. The seats, secured only to the carpeting, were hanging out of the floor pans on both sides, the heater channels came off in hunks by hand, and the spare was falling through the front trunk.
I'm still a little pissy.
I really dig the big Olds, and even the patina, but considering the interior looks like it was left to die in the ocean in 1980, and I'd assume the top is the same, perhaps some haggling is in order on the price.

For a reference point I bought this 2 years ago for $400
Interior was complete but dirty. Only rust was a hole in the rear floorboard. Ran, drove, completed the BABE rally. Functional top frame but no top.
Cleaned and repainted for BABE
Sold for $1600 post-rally so yeah $2500 for that one is a bit high.

just because you got one dirt cheap and sold it for less than the asking price of the one this thread is about doesn't necessarily mean that they are all worth what you paid or sold it for.
