I have a question about the buyer's guide in this months issue. Where can S2000's supposedly be found for $7500 with decent miles? That has to be a typo, because the cheapest I've ever seen one is over $10k with a rebuilt title. Am I living in the wrong area of the country or what?

Maybe. When checking that story I found some nice deals on AutoTrader and craigslist but, yes, there are a lot of salvage title cars out there.

If I can find an S2k for $7500, that may well become the next commuter!!!! Looking forward to seeing this issue. :)

I've seen several S2000's under $10K, but I can't be specific about their title history.

For those who haven't read it, there's an S2000 buyers guide in the November 2008 issue. (Ultimate Track Car Challenge Porsche on the cover.)

We have a brand new S2k at the dealership for $12500, it doesn't have any seats, headlights, and a tear in the roof, but I'm interested in purchasing it. Corbeau CR-1s are around $900 for both seats and brackets, Hella 90mm modular projectors would work just fine for headlights and high beams, and a hardtop would def. be preferred over the softy.

But a lot of S2ks get sold for cheap due to theft and the damage that comes with it.
