That's a pretty old story (about 6 months). Seems like once a year Saab says they're coming back but nothing ever happens. At this point it seems more likely for Peugeot/Citroen to make a comeback (seriously).
Somebody just drive a stake through their heart, for chrissakes. All 8 people left who care already have a backyard full of Saabs.
And I'm not trolling. I mean it.
My good friend, who is/was a SAAB master tech hated the build quality of the last generation 9-5 soo much that he said they should just die, rather then put out crap like that with the SAAB name on it.
Sadly, I think he was right.
When SAAB was at their best, they were built to a quality point, not a price point.(I've heard the same thing about Volvo, Porsche and MB) I don't think there is a place for that in the market anymore, at least not for cars made for the masses.
Look at the other brands that I just mentioned, Volvo is struggling, Porsche doesn't care about the masses anymore, and modern MBs aren't built go further than the first owner's lease period with out major headaches.
And I shamefully admit that I haven't touched my c900 turbo project in over a year.
In reply to Armitage:
I had a 9-5 like that and rather enjoyed it. He very well could have been talking about the FINAL 9-5 that we barely saw for a model year.
