Way back when in the time before we all had video devices in our pockets, I was at Pocono raceway to spectate an AMA Superbike race. At the time, Buell motorcycles were kind of a new "big deal." As part of the event promotion, Erik Buell was onsite to lead a group of Buell streetbike riders on a parade lap around the course. As he started the parade lap, he decided to wheelie in front of the grandstands - and promptly looped the bike. He quickly re-mounted another bike and the lap proceeded as planned. I've looked, but have never been able to find any video of the event.
Not as emabarassing as how the race started with 9 riders running off the grid aborting their bikes cause they wanted slicks last minute.
Every one of them should've been given a pit lane stop and go during the race.
I'd be interested to hear who was driving the car when it crashed. They almost lost it just past the apex of the preceding turn, then did lose it at the exit of the turn (too much throttle). Then they ran out of talent and just slid off the track into the guard rail. They looked like a track day rookie!
