Saleen Focus - For Real?

Yep, it's a real thing.

It's the opposite of the SVT, and in my opinion, not quite in a good way.

Sadly real. I saw about 5 of them at once on a lot in VA Beach, got a chuckle when I saw NOS on the window stickers.

when i was working at Alderman ford Indianapolis I saw one leave and then come back in a week with a smoked clutch.

I think those cars came with nitrous but if you hooked it up it voided the warranty or something like that. I'm probably wrong though,there were also rousch focuses ( foci?)

And the XP6/XP8 Explorer's.

Yep. Guy down the street has one. It is in no way impressive.

True. And both of them(Saleen & Roush) were mainly cosmetic packages with very little if any performance modifications.

And there was also a Steeda Focus. Also nothing special, but the Steeda Focus catalog was a good place to get repair and upgrade parts for Foci.

I looked at one of those Saleens on a lot while waiting on Mustang parts some years ago. One of the sales guys gave me the full spiel. They did indeed come with full plumbing for Nitrous. It also had the bottle mount in the back, but you had to buy the bottle separately, have it filled and connect it your self, or something similar. And yes, it immediately voided the warranty although the sales guy said the fuel system and tune had been tweaked to support it correctly. As I remember it had ugly little "N2O" logos on the front quarters too.
