I was driving thru Johnston RI, and saw the nose of a white Brickilin sticking out in back of a commercial building. Pulled a quick U turn to confirm. Drove into the lot, and what did I see? A red bricklin parked in back of the white one. Both very dilapidated, and sun faded.

They've reached the pinnacle of safety when they can't move under their own power.

No Bricklins can move under their own power.
They arent that bad. My brother had one and I worked on it. Its carbed and has either an AMC 360 or a Ford 351W. If you can do some minor electrical, you wont have a problem.
If I wanted a boulevard cruiser, another is at the top of the short list.
I dont get the hate.
And I have seen at least 3 running on the road over the last 10 years or so.
Then again, I see fun stuff frequently. 2CV, Trabi, Yugos...
Given a choice between a Bricklin and a Delorean... Bricklin needs the door hydraulics updated. Delorean has a PVR V6 and K-Jetronic injection.
I saw a Delorean with a nice 5.3 swap last summer, but the door hydraulics are cheaper.

At least three in a decade? We might have to discuss what you consider "frequent".
There’s one in my area and I think the owner drives it to work occasionally. Makes me happy to see it on the road.

Man...someone has specific tastes^^
That paintwork is impressive, but I haven't seent a Grant GT wheel since Autozone, circa 1996.
I don't mind that car at all, but I do question the plastic chains and the Do Not Touch signs in the door openings.

I think they’re pretty cool. I almost bought one 3 years ago, but it was white and I’m just not a fan of white cars. Any of the other factory colors and I probably would have pulled the trigger.

The hot setup is actually switching from hydraulic to pneumatic.
The Pneumatic allows the struts to act as shock absorbers if you move/bounce the car with the doors up, which solves a high stress/cracking issue. Also, tons less messy if it leaks.
I saw an orange Bricklin on a trailer (aren’t they all?) on I-65 yesterday.

You are right, of course. I mis- thought...

They Reynolds museum south of edmonton in wetaskiwin has this yellow 75
and the New Brunswick museum has this one
My best friend grew up in New Brunswick, and he knew where the junkyard was that had all the mis-shaped reject bodies from the fiberglass factory.

There's 2 or 3 Bricklin SV-1s running around my area. As well as a pair of Saab Sonnetts (both still owned by the original owners!). I don't know, the New York climate must be friendly to weirdo sports cars or something.

I saw this sonnett last month at the auction they have at the edmonton motor show

A guy I work with has TWO of them that he drives regularly. And a 1st Gen RX-7 converted to a vert. Those are his three daily drivers, not sure if he has any other cars....I guess he likes to live dangerously....
