Not sure if you guys saw the Facebook posts from this weekend, but JG and I ran this weekend's SCCA Match Tour event in Cecil, Georgia. I admit, it's been a while since either have us have run a major autocross event. Know what? We had a total ball--saw a bunch of old friends, saw cool cars, and spent the weekend doing, well, car stuff.
Solo Nats, here we come.
Oh, and some in-car footage:

Yeah, make that big girl dance!
And dance we did. Real tires and some more seat time could make things very interesting.
Oh, those poor tires. Just screaming for help
A singing tire is a happy tire.
Tire wear was actually very, very good. That site isn't super-grippy, so there's a bit of sliding around.

I worked corner 1 while you guys ran. I think you put down about half the total rubber deposited by all the other cars combined for the weekend. So thank you for the extra grip between days 1 and 2.
Way to dance with the elephant--I have much love for autocrossing big cars. I ran a Supercoupe at Dixie in 2008, and a CTS-V in 2009.
We were both having transmission "issues," too. Around town, that eight-speed automatic is fine. When autocrossing, though, it liked to downshift into first. Ideally, we wanted it in second the entire time. (We were launching in second, too.)
