Me too, and this along with July 2017 being a "Hell Month" because we're officially moving to our new building, and leasing the old building to new tenants, by August 1st, means no time off and probably going to be working weekends anyway.
At least the OT and other wage upgrades probably will allow downgrading the S40 to something with 300hp and all wheel drive, maybe.
Would anybody want to split a hotel room on Saturday?

If you just need a place to crash, you're welcome to a sleeper sofa in my basement...
Mod RWD looking to one of the most competitive classes in the country at this event, especially if Evan would get his butt signed up. Between the locals and non-locals that I know on this list, I'd say out of 14 entries, at least 12 of them have a legitimate chance to take a podium spot or win it (all due respect to England Jr, who has to be the favorite coming in). 10th, 11th, 12th place WILL be taken by people who are competitive drivers. I would not be terribly surprised to see the top 8-10 cars within single-digit total times of each other in the end. Gonna be interesting.
Well thanks to a spring that broke on the test drive after reassembly on Thursday and a mad last minute thrash as well as a good rash of luck I was able to source a junkyard spring, only issue is alignment, No one in south richmond had availability on a saturday @ 3:30... So Its likely I won't be able to make the east coast nationals... Boo.....
Unless someone has some slick ass solution i've not thought of.......
In reply to Pete Gossett:
Was thinking about it problem I have is being as I touched every suspension bit in the car except the rear trailing arms I would be a little skeptical just setting toe, if nothing else comes up I might just do it...
In reply to JtspellS:
Only thing that'll be hard to set is camber. Caster can be done mostly by feel. Adjust until the car feels right, then adjust the side to side balance until it drives straight. Then re-check toe.
Are the results from this event posted online somewhere?
there's also a recap in my build thread of this event and the NeDiv event the week after (with photos!)

And the funny part is that the loser lost by less than 1 second ;)
Also, that MF Celica is the same car that Andy won PF with, I believe. So not even an MF car.....

Actually that was Andy's other celica and is not legal in PF.

I'm assuming that's because stuff don't rust there so you aren't stuck with 10-15 year old cars to rallycross, unless you're a real baller and can afford an 80s car clean enough to compete with. (Or are willing to drive 1000+mi to pick up a car)
Given how the prices are going up, I'm starting to feel real bad about rallycrossing my RX-7 and am seriously thinking about returning to stock-ish and selling it to finance something more disposable.

ah, all his white celicas, it's hard to remember which is which lol...

no, I think it's just that people here all realize that RWD is more fun than FWD :)
Granted, of the 15 or so RWD regulars, about 10 of them are e30s that a couple of us collectively "recruited" over the years into doing rallycross....a few Miatas, and the random MR2 and other thing...

Not sure which of his Celicas it was, but he brought one of them up to a CNY event a few months ago. That guy is definitely fast (and the car seemed to hold up just fine to a 3-way co-drive).

Are there any official pictures from the event? The guy from autoxpix took some great ones last year but I don't think he was back this year.

I know Jon Krolewicz had the official role as photographer for his work session. I haven't seen his pictures posted anywhere. I can't recall if there was an assigned photographer for the other heat.
There were several photographers there taking great pics. They have albums on facebook. Faye Chilcote (whose husband was racing) put up a huge album of great pics.
